Early Calling and Spiritual Foundation
Dr. Ayanlowo received a divine call into ministry in 1980, when the Lord spoke to him clearly, saying, “Tell My people, I am coming very soon.”
This message became the foundation of his life’s mission and continues to shape his preaching, leadership, and humanitarian work. From that moment, he committed himself wholeheartedly to ministerial service, driven by a deep burden for the salvation, restoration, and empowerment of humanity—especially the poor, oppressed, and forgotten.
Academic and Medical Background
Dr. Ayanlowo attended King’s College, Lagos, where he developed strong values of discipline, leadership, and academic excellence. He had his O-Level and A-Level at King’s College, Lagos. He later proceeded to the College of Medicine (Idi-Araba), Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), where he trained as a medical doctor.
While practicing medicine, he encountered countless patients who were unable to afford treatment and were left to suffer due to poverty. These experiences profoundly affected him and strengthened his conviction that healing, both spiritual and physical, must be made available to all.
In obedience to God’s call, he later made the rare and sacrificial decision to step away from full-time medical practice to pursue ministry and humanitarian service, while still using his medical expertise in outreach programs.

Establishment of Divine Life Ministries
In obedience to divine direction, Dr. Ayanlowo founded Divine Life Ministries (Holy Ghost Assembly). Divine Life Ministries was officially started in January 1989 to fulfill a divine mandate to carry the gospel of Jesus Christ to the poor, oppressed, and less privileged, especially in towns and rural communities. Later on, the first church was established by the ministry, which started in September 1990 in Lagos State, Nigeria.
Also, through the prompting of the Holy Spirit from about mid-1992, Dr. Ayanlowo felt the urge to establish another church in Sagamu, Ogun State. This finally took off in July 1993, which is where the headquarters is now based. Through the ministry, Dr. Ayanlowo is committed to helping believers discover their God-given talents, raising an army of faithful servants, promoting unity in the body of Christ, and establishing churches where needed.
He has remained deeply passionate about reaching the unreached and equipping believers to walk in their divine purpose. His teachings consistently reflect urgency, holiness, and preparedness for Christ’s return. God has used him powerfully in planting churches, strengthening fellowships, and training ministers through international conferences and leadership programs.
